Who is Radar Recovery Coaching designed for?

This program is specifically built for students who:

  • Were disappointed with their Non-radar performance
  • Feel overwhelmed or uncertain entering radar training
  • Want to improve study structure and performance habits
  • Need help understanding how to think and perform during radar scenarios
  • Want experienced guidance during one of the most challenging phases of the Academy

My Experience Guiding Students Through Radar Training

I spent over 26 years working as an air traffic controller in the FAA and later taught both Non-radar and Radar at the Academy. I was an A-Lead and Lead instructor.

During that time, I saw firsthand how many capable students struggled- not because they lacked intelligence or work ethic- but because they needed better performance strategies, structure, and mentorship during training. Things the FAA and your instructors can't provide.

My coaching focuses on helping students perform closer to their potential while navigating the pressure and pace of the Academy environment.

Why Radar Training Feels So Challenging

Radar training requires students to:

  • Process large amounts of information quickly
  • Make accurate decisions under time pressure
  • Maintain situational awareness while trying to multitask
  • Perform consistently during evaluation scenarios
  • Manage stress while maintaining performance

Many students find that radar challenges their confidence and study habits in ways they have never experienced before.

Recovery coaching focuses on helping you adapt to those demands with structure and strategy.

Is It Too Late To Improve Performance?

Many Students assume that struggling early in radar means they cannot recover. In reality, improvement is often possible when students receive clear structure and experienced guidance early in the radar phase.

Reaching out sooner provides more opportunity to adjust performance habits and rebuild confidence before the last evaluations.

Honest Guidance, Not False Promises

No coach can ethically guarantee Academy success.

What I provide is experienced mentorship designed to help students preform at their highest level and make confident decisions throughout training.

My goal is to help you give yourself the strongest possible opportunity to succeed.

Taking The Next Step

Radar Recovery Coaching begins with an application and consultation conversation so we can discuss your situation, goals. and whether coaching is the right fit for you.

If you are feeling uncertain about radar training or want experienced support during this transition, I encourage you to reach out sooner rather than later.
